The NextGen Pastor is responsible to provide visionary oversight and pastoral leadership to the youth at Fellowship City Church’s Chagrin campus by organizing and leading an effective youth ministry, implementing fellowship, worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and missions. The NextGen Pastor will partner with parents and youth leaders in discipling youth, consistently engage students with the good news of the gospel and support them in developing their love for Him and others. • Carry out general pastoral duties as assigned by the Executive Team.

Competencies

  • Previous ministry experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High capacity, self-starting, multi-tasking individual, comfortable working independently in a high-paced environment, while maintaining good judgment in decision making and prioritization.
  • Able to manage conflict and leverage strong problem-solving skills.
  • Teachable and open to feedback and accountability.
  • Exhibit healthy boundaries with youth and their families (accountability, physical, time, and social media boundaries, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of technology and social media.
